What is FOLO Farm’s opening hours and what to do if we would like to come by and visit the farm?

FOLO Farm is a working organic farm and is not open for walk-in visits. To ensure the best experience for both our visitors and our farming team, all visits are by appointment only.

You are welcome to visit us through our public Open Days, farm tours, workshops, or private group bookings.

If you’d like to arrange a visit, simply let us know your preferred date, the number of visitors, and the purpose of your visit. Our team will recommend the most suitable program and available time slot based on your needs.

Private weekday visits are available for groups, subject to availability and minimum booking requirements.

Please make an appointment before visiting.

Many farmers are squeezed and isolated from the market by middlemen. They pressure farmers by dictating the low price, the type of veggies, and the fixed quantities that they need. Sometimes when demand is low, they reject the harvests, and farmers are not paid. As a result, most of the risks are borned by the farmers.

We support the Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) model because it addresses these issues. As members, we come together to directly support and share the risks with Chief Farmer Shifu Ah Lek, his family, and the FOLO core team.

We put our trust in him to grow whatever is best at the farm given his knowledge and experience.

We cut out the middlemen. When the harvest is plentiful, all of us have more vegetables to eat and share. When the harvest is weak due to the many variable factors, we all can witness the challenges on the farm. So we come together to take home a little less, so not all risk falls on the farmer.

The farmer feels appreciated and appreciates the community members bring. The laughter and energy we feel at FOLO every week cannot be found at any other farm in Johor, feeding our loved ones not just with nutrient-dense super veggies, but also a sense of ‘kampung kamaraderie”.

Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) boxes contain a selection of fresh, seasonal produce harvested from FOLO Farm each week. As we grow with the seasons, the contents vary naturally based on what’s ready for harvest.

We currently offer four membership options:

1. Mini Pack – A small weekly box, perfect for individuals or anyone looking to enjoy seasonal vegetables in smaller portions.

2. Half Share – A weekly box suitable for small households or couples who cook regularly.

3. Full Share – A weekly box designed for families or households that cook most meals at home.

4. Salad Pack – A weekly selection of fresh salad greens and herbs, perfect for those who enjoy fresh salads and light meals.

All of our produce is grown using certified organic and regenerative farming practices. Rather than choosing individual vegetables, CSA members receive the best of each week’s harvest, making every box a seasonal surprise while supporting local, sustainable farming.

Our CSA membership fees vary depending on the package you choose and your delivery location.

At the moment, we don’t offer regular CSA deliveries to Kuala Lumpur.

One of FOLO’s goals is to keep our food system as local as possible by reducing unnecessary food miles and carbon emissions. We also believe every community is best served by supporting local farmers who grow close to where you live.

If you’re in the Klang Valley, we’d encourage you to explore local CSA farms in your area. By supporting a nearby farm, you’ll enjoy fresher produce while helping build a stronger local food system.

Absolutely! We encourage you to join one of our workshops or community gardening programmes to learn the basics of growing food naturally.

If you’re looking for more personalised guidance, FOLO also offers gardening consultancy and support for homes, schools, businesses, and communities.

Simply WhatsApp us with a few photos of your space and tell us what you’d like to achieve. We’ll be happy to discuss how we can help.

No worries! If you know you’ll be away, just let us know at least 4 weeks in advance, and we’ll roll that week’s credit over to your next CSA season.

For last-minute changes, you can share your box with a friend or family member by providing an alternative delivery address. Sharing is caring! If that’s not possible, we’re happy to donate it to a local family in need, so nothing goes to waste.

Our vegetables are harvested fresh each week and contain no synthetic preservatives, so proper storage is important. We recommend refrigerating your vegetables as soon as possible after collection or delivery to keep them at their best.

If you notice any quality issues upon receiving your veggies, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo. We’ll investigate the issue, and if it’s related to harvesting, packing, or handling on our end, we’ll gladly arrange a replacement or credit.

We also appreciate hearing about any quality concerns, as your feedback helps us identify problems early and continuously improve. Growing fresh food is a shared journey, and your understanding and support mean a great deal to our small farming team.
