学习，从来不只发生在教室里
上周日，我们开启了 Food • Soil • Community 社区共学计划 的第一场学习旅程。此计划由UNDP 及Microsoft 赞助支持而得以成真。
这一场，由卡滋素养教室（Kazee Classroom） 的老师、孩子及家长，一起走进 FOLO 农场，展开未来几个月社区学习计划的第一步。环境教育最好的方式，不是告诉大家答案，而是创造一个能够亲身体验、观察、提问与实践的平台。
因此，这次为期四个月的社区可持续花园建构计划，第一步是带着大家走进真实运作中的农场。
让大家认识并参与 Ridan 厨余堆肥系统，了解每天的厨房厨余如何转化成滋养土壤的养分；参观花园的蚯蚓堆肥区，了解另一种自然分解有机废弃物的可能。当社区成员亲手触摸已经完成发酵的堆肥，再走进菜园看见健康生长的蔬菜时，便会开始重新理解了一件事：
厨余，并不是垃圾，而是下一餐食物的起点。
接下来几个月，FOLO 将持续陪伴 Kazee Classroom 与其他参与社区，通过工作坊、现场指导及持续交流，一步一步建立属于自己的社区堆肥系统与食物花园。
我们希望 FOLO 不只是一个农场。更是一个让社区、学校、家庭与企业，都能够透过自然学习、从实践中成长的教育平台。因为真正的学习，不会在活动结束后停止。它会继续发生在每一次堆肥、每一次播种，以及每一次人与人的连结之中。 🌱
Last Sunday, we kicked off the first Food • Soil • Community Learning Journey, a four-month community learning programme made possible through the support of UNDP and Microsoft.
Our first stop brought together the educators, children and parents from Kazee Classroom, who joined us at FOLO Farm to begin their journey towards building a more sustainable community.
At FOLO, we believe environmental education isn’t about providing all the answers. It’s about creating a space where people can experience, observe, ask questions, and learn by doing. That’s why the first step of this program wasn’t in a classroom, but on a working organic farm.
Participants explored our Ridan food waste composting system, learning how everyday kitchen scraps can be transformed into nutrient-rich compost. They also visited our worm composting area to discover another natural way of returning organic matter to the soil.
When community members held finished compost in their hands and walked through thriving vegetable gardens, many began to see food waste differently.
Food scraps aren’t waste. They’re the beginning of the next harvest.
Over the coming months, FOLO will continue supporting Kazee Classroom and the other participating communities through hands-on workshops, onsite mentoring, and continuous knowledge sharing, helping each community establish its own composting system and community food garden.
We hope FOLO can be more than just an organic farm.
We aspire to be a living learning platform where communities, schools, families, and organisations reconnect with nature, learn through experience, and grow together.
Because meaningful learning doesn’t end when a workshop is over. It continues with every compost pile, every seed that’s planted, and every connection built within a community. 🌱
